Permissions

Filespots can be exactly customized for the workflows and structures in your user group or company. There are two hierarchical, separated levels: servers and the folders they contain, called filespots.
Permissions are granted hierarchically as well: You can assign server and filespot users different access levels.

Server user

Servers are containers for filespots. Any number of filespots can be created and managed on one server. Every filespots user is automatically assigned his free "Community server", on which he can write and to which he can invite any number of read access users. If you need more features or unlimited space, you can add extra servers (here you will find a list). There are two access levels for servers:

  Server member Server administrator
Create own filespot x x
Invite server members   x
Manage server   x
View server stats   x

Filespot user

You can assign three concise access levels for your filespots: read access users, write access users and administrators. When inviting others to your filespot, you are in full control of all permissions:

Read rights Write rights Administrator rights

File previews x x x
